Happy Thanksgiving & The Leader From 100 Years Ago Today!

Hi everyone, sending Happy Thanksgiving wishes your way, with acknowledgement of the history and mistreatment of the Native American Peoples by European-Americans during history of our country.

There really are some great books on the local & regional native peoples of our area including the Seneca and Delaware peoples, in general and figures like Seneca Chiefs Cornplanter and Red Jacket, and the Seneca Prophet Handsome Lake – the library has a number of cool books on the subject if you’d like to know more.

And for today, here is a bonus Thanksgiving Day posting, for those that might have some extra time to read today!

The Evening Leader from 100 years ago today: November 28, 1924

Have a great holiday weekend everyone,

Linda Reimer, SSCL
