Hi everyone, two bonus items for the local history fans out there!
Firstly, remembering a historic anniversary; it was 108 years ago today, on November 7, 1917, that women’s suffrage was adopted in New York State; three years before it became a national law.
For many of us it is startling to realize that when our grandmothers were born, women couldn’t vote as, from a historic perspective, 108 years isn’t a long period of time.

And onto our our intro to historic markers video. This video shows only the metal historic markers, with blue and gold paint, that are located in the City of Corning, New York. I’m working on an PowerPoint/video that features all the historic markers in the City of Corning and will post that too, to the blog, as soon as I finish it.
