Hi everyone, as you may know I didn’t include photos in regular weekly posting last Friday. And I have had several inquires about just that; thus this mid-week posting of photos!
And I promise, in the future, I will always include photos with weekly local history postings.
Have a great rest-of-the week & the next regular weekly posting, including photos, will be this Friday, March 22, 2024.

Photo 1: Alcott & Company, Corning, N.Y. (1889)

The record for this photo says only “Alcott Ron & Co. 1889.” And I believe that may refer to the construction company building the viaduct or bridge seen in the background.

Photo 2: City Incinerator, Corning, N.Y. (1947)
Our second photo shows the Corning City Incinerator being built back in 1947.
–
Photo 3: Going For A Walk (Circa early 1900s)
Our third and final mid-week photo from the Corning based Drake Family collection. The photo taken somewhere in our area in the early 1900s.
